Following the acquisition of the 89-room heritage hotel – previously known as Lilianfels Blue Mountains Resort & Spa – in 2023 when Salter Brothers bought the entire Escarpment Group portfolio, its new owners announced a refurbishment and rebrand of the property last August.
The renewed hotel now boasts updated rooms in three new colour palates, with custom bedheads, textiles and patterns, refreshed event spaces and a new bar called The Lounge.
The redesign was helmed by firm Luchetti Krelle that has plenty of hospitality design experience.
“Lilianfels embodies the very essence of Australian mountain luxury,” said Salter Brothers Hospitality CEO, Tash Tobias.
“For decades, it has welcomed generations of families, dignitaries, socialites and celebrities, whilst standing as a beloved icon for the Blue Mountains region.
“This spectacular legacy is exactly what makes the estate so deserving of this thoughtful transformation.
“Our vision for this project was guided by a profound responsibility to honour Lilianfels’ history and preserve its original character, whilst introducing world-class luxury hospitality.
“It is far more than a redesign – it’s an evolution to continue the legacy of this landmark property with a vibrant new chapter.”
The hotel has event space for up to 120 in theatre and several restaurants onsite. Its day spa remains under renovation and is set to reopen under the Èliva brand.
The rebrand of Lilianfels brings it into the new Ardour brand, created by Salter Brothers Hospitality. It joins Ardour Milton Park Bowral in the New South Wales’ Southern Highlands, which has also undergone refurbishment as it transitioned to the new brand.
