The new hotel, set on 165 acres of the Ben Ean and former Lindeman’s estates will have 65 pavilion-style villas and a 1,000m2 spa, which will offer both wellness and longevity treatments.
The hotel was formally announced at an event in Sydney last week.
Its new manager, Belmo Group, currently manages a variety of holiday apartments, mostly in Noosa on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland, as well as offering residential management services. The company also recently took on management of the Royal Albert Hotel in Brisbane’s city centre.
Belmo Group will oversee every part of the resort’s management, from the guest experience, spa operations and the food and beverage offering to the sales and marketing and revenue management of the property, alongside recruiting and managing the resort’s staff.
“Over the past 15 years the Belmo Group’s success as a premier provider of bespoke management services for corporate and leisure hotels and premium residential developments is embedded in our tailored approach to each property’s distinctive brand identity,” said Belmo Group’s CEO, David Assef.
“Laval is a once-in-a-generation property. The Hunter Valley hasn’t seen a luxury hotel of this calibre open in a quarter of a century and Laval changes the conversation entirely.
“Combining world-class design, an extraordinary natural setting, and a bold cultural vision, Laval will put the Hunter Valley firmly on the map for discerning travellers.
“We are deeply proud that HVL Hotels has entrusted Belmo Group with bringing their vision to life through our operational expertise, and we are committed to delivering an experience that matches the ambition of this remarkable project.”
Laval Hunter Valley is slated for an opening in the second half of next year in Pokolbin in the NSW wine region.
