Show organisers say hosted buyer registrations have “consistently outpaced” 2025 and over 4,000 total buyers are expected at the show, travelling from more than 80 countries.
In terms of exhibitor footprints, Europe will occupy the lion’s share of the show floor and sees several countries from the continent increasing their space, including Cyprus in particular, which has almost doubled its footprint.
Asia will have the second largest presence, with Singapore, Malaysia and Japan increasing the size of their stands.
The continuing Middle East conflict has not dampened the profile of exhibitors from the region at IMEX Frankfurt. Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Qatar, Oman and others have all retained their space at the event this year.
Australia and New Zealand will also be on show at IMEX. Australia will have representatives from 18 bureaus, convention centres and hotel groups, with Business Events Australia hosting the stand.
Nearly every major Australian bureau is attending, while there’s a particularly strong showing of Legends Global-managed convention centres, with those in Brisbane, Sydney, Cairns and Darwin all attending.
Crown Resorts, Marriott International and Sofitel Sydney Darling Harbour are also part of the Australian contingent, alongside Adelaide Convention Centre and the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre.
Alongside Tourism New Zealand Business Events, representatives from the bureaus and convention centres in Auckland, Christchurch and Wellington will be on the New Zealand stand. Other exhibitors include PPG Tours, ID New Zealand and the JW Marriott Auckland.
“The momentum we’ve seen during the run up to the show points to a sector that’s resilient, globally connected and determined to push ahead with business despite economic pressures and geopolitical instability,” said IMEX CEO, Carina Bauer.
“IMEX Frankfurt [2026] is shaping up to be one of our largest, most commercially dynamic and globally diverse editions yet.
“This industry never ceases to impress me.”
