New South Wales and Western Australia had their state tourism awards gala events last week, while Northern Territory celebrated winners in the territory too.
Last Wednesday evening, Central Coast hotel Crowne Plaza Terrigal Pacific claimed the gold in NSW in the business events category. Australia’s largest business events hotel, Hyatt Regency landed the silver and Fairmont Resort Blue Mountains took home the bronze.
On Saturday night, Darwin Convention Centre claimed the category for the Northern Territory at a ceremony held at the venue.
At the gala dinner at Crown Perth, also on Saturday night, Pullman Bunker Bay Resort in the Margaret River region took out the category for Western Australia, with Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre coming in second and Esplanade Hotel Fremantle by Rydges coming third.
On November 3, at Adelaide Convention Centre, Adelaide Oval collected the accolade for South Australia.
Tasmania will be the next to announce local tourism award winners, at Wrest Point on November 17, followed by Queensland and Canberra which will both have their ceremonies on November 24, at Cairns Convention Centre and Hyatt Hotel Canberra respectively.
Victoria will wrap up the state and territory round on November 30 at the Palladium at Crown.
The national winners, including for the business events venue category, will be announced at the Australian Tourism Awards in Darwin on March 15, 2024.
Pullman Bunker Bay Resort in Western Australia won the national award in 2022, with Darwin Convention Centre taking home the silver and Peppers Silo Hotel in Launceston, Tasmania receiving the bronze.
