Beckons, the company previously known as Baillie Lodges, is building a new property even closer to Uluṟu than its existing Longitude 131 offering.

The new luxury lodge – name yet to be announced – will offer just nine suites, with every guest room as well as the property’s restaurant, bar and lounge having views of the iconic Red Centre rock, Uluṟu.

Plans for the new accommodation offering have already been approved in consultation with the Traditional Owners of the land. At this stage, the lodge is expected to open in early 2028.

The lodge is designed by the Australian JAWS Architects and will feature unique commissioned artwork from Aṉangu depicting one of their Creation Stories in every suite. Each suite will also have a private plunge pool, outdoor daybeds and luxury swags for stargazing.

“One of the world’s most powerful and spiritually significant landscapes, Uluṟu-Kata Tjuṯa is an extraordinary place to deepen our presence in Australia and grow our global footprint,” said Beckons CEO Michael Crawford.

“At Beckons, the most memorable journeys create a genuine connection to place. Here, that means personally guided experiences that reveal the ancient stories of Country and sky, and the living heritage of this remarkable landscape.”

Beckons’ existing property at Uluṟu, Longitude 131 offers 16 luxury safari tents, also with views of the towering rock formation. The lodge received two Michelin Keys in 2025.

The new lodge will be located a short distance from Longitude 131, with Beckons to offer exclusive use options for both properties, enabling larger corporate or incentive groups to stay in a luxury lodge environment at Uluṟu than was previously possible.

In Australia, Beckons operates several other luxury lodges, include Southern Ocean Lodge on Kangaroo Island, Silky Oaks Lodge in the Daintree and The Louise in the Barossa Valley.
