The venue’s events over the last 12 months included 78 significant national and international conferences and exhibitions.
A standout event at the centre during the last year was Hort Connections, one of the biggest horticultural events in the southern hemisphere, which saw nearly 4,000 delegates meet in Adelaide for its 2026 edition, as well as attracting the largest cohort of exhibitors the event has ever seen.
Adelaide Convention Centre also held the Australian Tourism Exchange this year, for 2,700 delegates, including 730 international travel buyers, as well as the Australian Energy Producers 2026 Conference and Exhibition for 1,000 delegates.
“Adelaide continues to earn strong endorsement from event organisers and delegates, who recognise the city’s accessibility, quality infrastructure, sustainability credentials and genuinely welcoming experience,” said Martin Radcliffe, CEO of Adelaide Venue Management, which operates the convention centre.
“Business events are a powerful driver of economic, professional and social value for our state.
“Every event we secure enhances South Australia’s appeal to investors and brings global expertise that strengthens our key industry sectors.
“This sustained success is delivering immediate benefits to our visitor economy, while also reinforcing South Australia’s position for long-term growth and opportunity.”
The convention centre is expecting another strong year in the 2026-2027 financial year, with 79 major events locked in. Events in the first quarter include LambEx2026 for 1,100 events in July, alongside the Australian Medical Students’ Association National Conference for 1,000 delegates and noise control engineering and acoustics conference Inter-Noise 2026 for 940 delegates, both in August.
“We are continuing to see strong strategic alignment between Adelaide’s business events offering and South Australia’s economic strengths, which reinforces the city’s position as a world-class destination for major national and international conferences,” said Business Events Adelaide CEO, Damien Kitto.
“The results mean Business Events Adelaide continues to deliver high-value business events that generate immediate economic benefit and longer-term opportunities for members.
“Securing business events during the winter period delivers important value for our members, creating room nights outside of peak seasonal demand and supporting more consistent year-round activity.”
Business Events Adelaide has also enjoyed strong results in recent times, having locked in $684 million during the 2024-2025 financial year.
