Hot on the heels of RACV announcing a major upgrade and extension to its Inverloch resort in Gippsland, a $27 million expansion is on the cards for RACV Country Club & Resort Healesville.
Meanwhile, also in Healesville, TarraWarra Museum of Art has opened a new event space for up to 200 seated – the Eva and Marc Besen Centre.
Yarra Valley Business Events describes the new-architect designed centre at TarraWarra as “a light-filled, flexible space ideal for workshops, conferences, lectures or team gatherings”.
A key feature of the new building is a dramatic 46m glass wall showcasing more than 300 artworks, effectively an ever-changing backdrop to spark conversation and creativity.
TarraWarra’s new centre has a range of moveable furnishings and AV options to cater for a variety of event types.
Back at the RACV property, the development will see 12 new premium two-bedroom villas delivered, injecting an estimated $3.8 million into the local economy annually.
The new accommodation will mean RACV can welcome up to 16,700 additional guests annually at the resort.
The Healesville property currently has 80 accommodation rooms, a ballroom for 320 cocktail or 240 in banquet and 15 dedicated meeting and event space options in all, including syndicate rooms, boardrooms and a glamorous outdoor gazebo for up to 40 in banquet.
For the stay and play groups, the resort has an 18-hole golf course, a luxury day spa, a pool and a fitness centre.
The RACV, established in 1903, now has 10 properties across Victoria, Queensland and Tasmania and a dedicated business events team at its Melbourne headquarters.
Construction on the RACV resort additions is scheduled to commence this year with the new villas expected to welcome their first guests by mid-2027.
