Set to open on December 11, the hotel offers rooms at 33sqm, each with their own balcony or private courtyard and suites ranging from 40sqm to 107sqm.
The hotel also offers a rooftop infinity pool and bar, two restaurants – contemporary Australia outfit Marmor, featuring regional meat and seafood, and casual Japanese establishment Terasu – and a day spa.
“Ardo is unlike anything Townsville has ever seen, it is a luxurious offering that will elevate how visitors can experience this beautiful tropical region,” said Ardo CEO Michael Jones.
“There truly is something for everyone and we can’t wait to welcome our first guests from mid-December.”
The hotel is located close to Townsville Entertainment and Convention Centre, which can host events of more than 3,100 people.
Other attractions in and around Townsville include The Museum of Underwater Art, located underwater on the Great Barrier Reef, which opened in 2020, and Magnetic Island.
