The local chapter of the Society for Incentive Travel Excellence (SITE) has become a strategic partner of FACTS, the corporate travel, business events, aviation and travel payments event, set to have its second iteration in Sydney next month.

As part of the partnership, the SITE ANZ chapter will present a session on day two of FACTS on the business case for incentive travel and maximising the value of incentive travel as a business tool.

The session will be presented by three members of the SITE ANZ board – current president, Tanya Wick, incoming president, Jacob Smith, and vice president of marketing and communications, Mercedes Ibbett. All three lead agencies specialising in incentive travel.

“Corporate travel, meetings, events and incentives are increasingly interconnected, and that is exactly what we want FACTS to reflect,” said FACTS co-founder, Derek Sadubin.

“SITE has an outstanding reputation and community within incentive travel, both here in Australia and New Zealand and globally. Having SITE ANZ involved strengthens the business events side of FACTS and introduces our audience to another important part of the industry.

“Most importantly, this is about bringing communities together.

“We want FACTS to create connections between people who may work with the same organisations and buyers, but don’t necessarily find themselves in the same room very often. So, we’re absolutely delighted to partner with SITE ANZ!”

Wick said the event – and opportunities to collaborate post-event – is a new avenue for SITE to fly the flag for incentive travel and its benefits.

“Business events and incentive travel are part of a much bigger ecosystem, and there is enormous value in connecting our community with professionals across corporate travel, procurement, technology and the wider visitor economy,” said Wick.

“FACTS provides a new platform for SITE ANZ to showcase the value and impact of incentive travel, while giving our members opportunities to connect with new audiences and ideas.

“We’re looking forward to bringing the SITE community to FACTS in November and contributing our perspective to what is shaping up to be a very exciting gathering of the industry.”

Ahead of its November 25 and 26 event at ICC Sydney, the FACTS program is growing and is set to feature keynotes from multiple airlines, Tourism Australia and Western Sydney International Airport.

Business events sessions include explorations of 2027 trends, what’s disrupting the events industry, procurement beyond price, human connection in the artificial intelligence era and event engagement.
