Construction on a new 129-room hotel set to be managed by Hilton under its Garden Inn brand will begin this year, with Hilton Garden Inn Brisbane City Centre North expected to open in Brisbane’s CBD in early 2024.

The hotel will be located close to the event possibilities of Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre, Howard Smith Wharves and Fortitude Valley, as well as having event space as part of the hotel.

“We are actively seeking to introduce more of our award-winning brands to Queensland and are delighted to be partnering with Spring Hill Property Group Pty Ltd to welcome the Hilton Garden Inn brand in Brisbane which will mark our fifth hotel in Queensland and our second in Brisbane; a fantastic addition to Hilton Brisbane on Elizabeth Street,” said Hilton’s senior vice president of development for Asia and Australasia, Guy Phillips.

“The signing of Hilton Garden Inn Brisbane City Centre North builds on our recent announcement of Hilton Garden Inn Sydney Kingswood in late 2021 and is testament to our commitment to our organic growth strategy, which sees us bring the right brands to the right locations, at the right time.”

The hotel will be built by Spring Hill Property Group.

“Hilton Garden Inn Brisbane City Centre North will contribute to Brisbane’s growth as a vibrant, dynamic city, which already benefits from significant intrastate and interstate leisure and business travel,” said director of Spring Hill Property Group Pty Ltd, Rupert Yang.

“We look forward to the continued transformation of the city as it plans to welcome back international visitors and prepares for the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games.”
