Just twelve months ago Dan Londero and John Gorton started Turnkey Event Solutions (TES) and now they’re expanding by creating a new recruitment division.

Londero and Gorton, formerly of Reed Exhibitions, have jumped into the talent market to secure staff for placement across the events industry.

According to Londero, TES Recruitment is a natural extension to Turnkey Event Solutions’ consultancy services.

“When John and I established Turnkey Event Solutions, we did so with one clear mission, which was to provide leadership support to our industry at a time when it was needed most,” he said.

“The work we did on our clients’ strategies and organisational design often led to them seeking assistance on recruitment of new roles.”

Londero said the new division emerged from this work.

Londero is a former Reed Exhibitions (RX) global executive and was member of their worldwide board for over a decade.

Since the pandemic began, Reed Exhibitions Australia has either lost or shed some of its most experienced senior executives.

The competition for talent is one of the major issues facing the events industry as it rebuilds from the ravages of the past few years. The inside knowledge and contacts of this leadership duo will be a major advantage in its pitch to clients – whether hirers or candidates.

Gorton says TES Recruitment is differentiated from most recruitment firms because of the depth of experience in the events business.

“We deliver recruitment services for event professionals by event professionals,” he said.

“Dan and I have built high performing event teams for over 50 years and right across the world. We have recruited across all levels in the event space.”

Gorton told micenet the industry had warmly welcomed the announcement of the launch of the recruiting arm and it had already been successful in assisting clients recruit critical talent.

“We have an unwavering commitment to recruiting and developing the very best talent.”

TES has rolled out a new visual identity and a separate website to support the launch of the new part of the business.

Since its formation last year, TES has largely worked on supporting and developing leadership talent in the events sector.

“We support individuals and teams to develop their businesses, their events and themselves. We work hand in hand with our clients to help them realise their vision at a strategic and executional level. Our company purpose is to provide leadership support and practical solutions to the event.”
