When ‘This Space’ was approached by the Cure Brain Cancer Foundation to breathe new life into its 15-year-old gala event, the team took the brief, spun it around, inflated it, gave it a blow torch, watered it down, dried it off, painted it in glitter and delivered a night that defied everyone’s expectations.

On Saturday, 700 guests from the brain cancer community, influencers, guests and members of the public gathered at Royal Hall of Industries Sydney where they were greeted by an elevated art installation. In a twist no one saw coming, the installation descended to the ground and became a catwalk for designer Bowie Wong to showcase a collection designed around Cure Brain Cancers’ logo. Other event highlights included a brain health menu (designed in collaboration with avant-garde thinkers), and performances by Johnny Ruffo and Megan Washington.
