Synergy Effect, local chapter triumph in SITE global awards
Synergy Effect won in the Asia Pacific category at the Society for Incentive Travel Excellence’s (SITE) recent Crystal Awards.

Meanwhile the Australia and New Zealand chapter of SITE also took out half of the chapter awards for the international industry body.

Sydney Effect, headquartered in Sydney, won an Excellence in Incentive Travel award for Asia Pacific for its Pinnacle Club 2023 incentive to New Zealand for 130 participants from a building manufacturing company.

The group stayed in Queenstown in a hotel buyout that produced a fully branded stay for incentive delegates. The incentive was designed to build relationships, encourage brand loyalty, inspire achievement and foster personal development.

Experiences included helicopter and jet boat rides alongside curated dinners.

To qualify to attend, participants exceeded their sales targets by 45 per cent.

“We are thrilled to have our incentive programs recognised as industry-leading on an international level,” said Michael Fleck, director and event producer at Synergy Effect.

“We have been crafting captivating meetings, incentives, conferences and events – designed to awake, ignite, connect and reward – for over 30 years, and are always focused on achieving outstanding results for our clients.”

SITE reported a record number of entries for this iteration of the Crystal Awards.

There was a second Asia Pacific winner, PHP Event Services, for a 220-pax incentive in Thailand, organised by a California-based incentive planner.

The ANZ chapter for SITE also took home three out of six of the chapter awards, announced – like the Crystal Awards – at SITE’s recent global conference in Istanbul, Turkey.

SITE Australia and New Zealand won the Excellence in Education, Excellence in Special Event and Excellence in Membership categories.

The wins highlighted several achievements, including the $115,000 raised in cash and in-kind sponsorships which supported the chapter’s conference, Incentivise Live, and the 119 per cent year-on-year growth in membership for the chapter.
