Western Sydney’s hotel stock is set for yet another boost, with a DoubleTree by Hilton property joining a significant pool of hotels in development for Parramatta.

The 100-room Hilton property will be part of a mixed-use development from Deicorp on Hassall St, which will also contain nearly 600 apartments as well as dining and retail offerings and commercial space.

The hotel will have 667m2 of event space spread across meeting rooms, a board room and pre-function space. The hotel will also have a restaurant and fitness and wellness facilities. Guest rooms will range in size from 20m2 to 45m2.

The hotel is set to be managed by Australian hotel management company Trilogy Hotels.

“The signing of DoubleTree by Hilton Parramatta reflects Hilton’s continued growth momentum in Australasia and our strategy to expand in high-demand urban markets where we see long-term opportunity,” said Hilton Australasia’s director of development, Tushar Raniga.

“With Parramatta emerging as Sydney’s second central business district, supported by major infrastructure investment and a diverse demand base, this is a strong fit for DoubleTree by Hilton.

“We are pleased to build a new relationship with Deicorp Group and continue our partnership with Trilogy Hotels as we strengthen Hilton’s presence in Greater Sydney.”

While it’s the beginning of the relationship between Hilton and Deicorp, Trilogy Hotels already has a connection with the developer, having signed management agreements for hotels in a couple of other Deicorp developments in Sydney, including Courtyard by Marriott Sydney Crows Nest and AC Hotel by Marriott – Sydney Hyde Metropolitan.

“Trilogy Hotels has been an invaluable partner on our other mixed-use hotel projects bringing unmatched regional expertise to this Western Sydney project,” said Deicorp founder, Fouad Deiri OAM.

“Parramatta has become one of Australia’s most important economic and residential growth regions.

“Bringing DoubleTree by Hilton into Deicorp’s Cosmopolitan project is a natural fit for a location with this depth of corporate and leisure demand.”

With Western Sydney International Airport opening next month, Western Sydney has been in the visitor economy spotlight and Parramatta in particular has seen a boom in new hotel developments. Among them are QT Parramatta, expected to open this year, a Marriott hotel, slated for a mid-2027 opening and a Crowne Plaza, with an anticipated debut in 2029. An InterContinental hotel is also in development.

The DoubleTree by Hilton property is expected to open in Q4 of 2028.

“Partnership sits at the centre of how we operate and DoubleTree by Hilton Parramatta is a project where every party is genuinely invested in the outcome,” said Trilogy Hotels CEO, Scott Boyes.

“Deicorp’s vision for the precinct, Hilton’s brand and distribution strength and Trilogy’s local operating model each play a distinct role, and the whole is stronger for it.

“Parramatta’s transport links, its established commercial core and the scale of new residential development make this one of the most credible hotel opportunities in Western Sydney.

“Our commitment to Deicorp and Hilton is to deliver a hotel that performs for owners, resonates with guests and gives our team a workplace they’re proud of.”

The DoubleTree by Hilton Parramatta is located close to Parramatta’s train station and various event spaces in Parramatta, including within Parramatta Town Hall and Powerhouse Parramatta, which will open in November.
