A new 14-key retreat is set to open in Tropical North Queensland in November.

Ever Bloomfield is the first property from Ever Lodges, a new entrant in the Australian luxury accommodation market, with more lodges expected to be announced.

The retreat is located on the Daintree Coast north of Cairns, where the World Heritage-listed rainforest meets the World Heritage-listed Great Barrier Reef. Ever Bloomfield is accessible only by boat or helicopter, with water transfers part of the all-inclusive offering.

“We’re proud to be opening a property that is entirely itself – rooted in this landscape, shaped by the people who know it best and built around the kind of experience that stays with you,” said Ever Lodges CEO Matt Casey.

“Ever Bloomfield has been shaped by a genuine belief that the best hospitality is felt rather than performed – that what guests remember isn’t a checklist of inclusions, but the people who made the place come alive for them.”

The property will target the corporate retreat and incentive markets, with buyouts possible.

Explorations of the rainforest and the reef are part of the experience at Ever Bloomfield, with a reef safari, an ATV tour through the rainforest and an expedition along the remote CREB Track to Roaring Meg Falls all on offer. Bespoke experience packages can be created for groups buying out the retreat.

The property will be led by Patrick Barrie, who brings general manager experience from some of Australia’s most luxurious accommodation offerings to his new role. He has previously headed up Saffire Freycinet in Tasmania and qualia on Hamilton Island in the Whitsundays.

“Bloomfield has something rare – a setting that asks something of you,” said Barrie.

“It asks you to slow down, to pay attention, to be present. Our role as a team is simply to make that easy, to take care of the details so that guests can give themselves over to the place entirely.

“What I’m most proud of is the team we’re bringing together here. These are people who love this part of the world, who find the reef and the rainforest genuinely extraordinary, every time. That enthusiasm is contagious and it shapes every interaction.”

The luxury lodge will open on November 1.
