Part of ETA Group, the new agency comes off the back of the delivery of Flight Centre’s Global Gathering for more than 2,000 delegates by the group in July.
ETA Group delivered 32 experience touchpoints for the large-scale Flight Centre incentive event, which brings together the highest performing staff across the travel and events group’s global presence.
Bwnd Events’ CEO is El Kwang, who is a frequent MC of business events industry gatherings, including the local iteration of Incentivise Live from the Society for Incentive Travel Excellence (SITE) and the knowledge program at the Asia Pacific Incentives and Meetings Event (AIME).
“Bwnd started by firstly listening. Max [Boontawee, ETA Group’s founder], Pete [Make-Arun] and I listened to our clients and supporters, and we saw an opportunity to create something that helps future-proof our profession,” said Kwang.
“The successful delivery of 32 events and activations for the Flight Centre Global Gathering gave us the confidence that there is a clear need for a high-touch agency like Bwnd, particularly across our immediate key markets of Australia and Singapore.
“Bwnd is about what we can achieve when creativity, purpose and exceptional delivery come together.”
Pete Make-Arun is the agency’s chief operating officer.
ETA Group has the endorsement of FCM Meetings & Events (FCM M&E), a division of Flight Centre Travel Group.
“We have worked with many DMCs over the decades of this event, and our team felt that ETA Group was absolutely one of the best,” said FCM M&E’s senior project director, Dee Kelly.
“We felt that we had a true partnership. The team was well structured and they are specialists in their areas of focus.”
ETA Group now has four companies within its family – alongside Bwnd Events are DMC Events Travel Asia as well as E-Transportation and E-Distribution.
