The first details have been revealed for the conference program that precedes the opening of the show floor for the Asia Pacific Incentives and Meetings Event (AIME) in Melbourne next February.

The theme for AIME’s Knowledge Monday in 2027 will be “AIMEplify: People, Business and Impact”, with the program to focus on the intersection of human connection and technology in the artificial intelligence era.

“Business events have always been about what happens when people come together with purpose, including the relationships they build, the ideas they exchange and the opportunities they create,” said El Kwang, founder of BEAMexperience, who helps AIME’s organisers curate the content for Knowledge Monday.

“As technology takes on more of the execution, the value of our profession sits in the expertise people bring: the experience, judgement and creativity that turn a meeting into a business outcome. AIMEplify is about recognising that value and amplifying what is already working across our industry.”

The morning sessions of Knowledge Monday will explore people related topics while the afternoon sessions will unpack business and impact.

The day will also feature two new kinds of sessions: The Debate – topic to be chosen by industry – will see a panel of planners and suppliers offer up their opinions while The Pitch will hand the stage to event professionals to present new ideas to the industry.

Kwang’s curation of the Knowledge Monday program will be assisted by the Knowledge Monday Program Committee, the members of which have also been unveiled today.

On the committee are Ashleigh Cooper from Charter Hall, Darren Chuckry from HK Initiative, Janene Wardrop from Ascot Event Collective, Michelle Sargent from Events Beyond, Petrina Goh from BCD Meetings & Events and Sarah Markey-Hamm from ICMS.

AIME will take place at Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC) from February 15 to 17, 2027.
