The hotel will have three event spaces, with the largest, Halifax, featuring floor to ceiling glass on two sides and a hosting capacity of 112 for standing events, 103 for conferences or 80 for banquets. Both Halifax and the second largest space, Victoria, can also be divided in two, while the smallest space, Light, is a boardroom. The event floor also includes pre-function space and an outdoor terrace.
The hotel’s rooftop restaurant will feature one semiprivate dining space and one fully private space for small groups. The rooftop restaurant can also host welcome receptions for residential conferences.
Aligning with the Crystalbrook Collection’s responsible luxury ethos, Crystalbrook Sam will offer its meeting spaces free from single-use plastics, and on a digital-first basis, including via electronic signage, digital run sheets and digital menus and agendas accessed via QR codes. Meeting rooms will also have smart room controls.
The hotel will cater its event spaces based on five rotating menus, which will hero South Australian produce, including from Adelaide Central Market, located a few streets away. Catering for event groups will include breakfast, interactive chef-led food stations, plated dinners and late-night snacks. Local oysters, native ingredients and sashimi sliced to order will all be part of the offering.
“Crystalbrook Sam represents an exciting new chapter for Crystalbrook Collection as we make our South Australian debut,” said the recently appointed general manager of the hotel, Kelvin Dodt.
“Adelaide continues to grow as a destination for business events and we wanted to create a venue that reflects the city’s strengths, including exceptional food and wine and genuine hospitality.”
“Crystalbrook Sam will give event organisers all the practical elements they need to deliver a seamless program, alongside the experiences delegates remember: a memorable lunch, a conversation continued on the terrace or the chance to experience more of Adelaide once the laptops close.”
