Hyatt debuts new brand in Australia
Hyatt Hotels has brought its Hyatt House brand to Australia with the opening of Hyatt House South Melbourne.

The 97-key property is located close to Albert Park – making it ideal for F1 Australian Grand Prix attendees early each year – and just over 2km from Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre.

The hotel offers a combination of studios and suites, with all having varying degrees of kitchen facilities, including full kitchenettes in the suites, making it a solid longer stay proposition.

“As Melbourne continues to grow and thrive economically, we are excited to add to the momentum by welcoming the first Hyatt House hotel to the city, centrally located near a running list of things to do or see,” said Hyatt House South Melbourne’s general manager, Christian Sujer.

“Hyatt House South Melbourne offers a fresh approach to the extended-stay experience with all the comforts travellers need, including well-appointed residential-style accommodations that are also pet-friendly.

“We’re proud to be one of the first hotels in Melbourne to welcome both cats and dogs up to 66 lbs [30kg], making it easier than ever for guests to travel with their beloved pets.”

The Hyatt House hotel adds to Hyatt’s inventory in and around Melbourne’s CBD. City-centre properties include the Grand Hyatt Melbourne and Hyatt Centric Melbourne, while the Park Hyatt Melbourne is located just beyond the edge of Melbourne’s CBD grid.
