Verde Alexandria offers 600m2 of event space all up, across a range of spaces.
The main restaurant space can do seated meals for 200 or 300 for cocktail events, while an outdoor courtyard can seat 120 or cater 180 stand-up. A further five spaces can service semi-private dining or small events for between 16 and 100 attendees.
The venue has opened following a multi-million-dollar upgrade of what was COOH restaurant.
“We wanted Verde Alexandria to complement what we already offer in Darlinghurst,” said Verde’s owner Antonio Ruggerino.
“Darlinghurst is perfect for something more intimate, while Alexandria gives us the scale and flexibility to host much larger celebrations, launches and events, without losing the food and hospitality Verde is known for.”
Verde Alexandria opens as a café from Monday to Friday between 7:30am and 4pm and will service event clients in the evenings seven nights a week.
The venue offers a five-metre ceiling, a five-metre bar, a DJ booth, a licence to stay open late and can also accommodate live music.
The original Verde Darlinghurst offers 44 seats in its restaurant – available for exclusive use – and a private dining room for up to 22 seated or 40 standing.
The culinary offering at both venues is overseen by the Michelin-star chef Davide Rebeccato.
