The partnership will see PCMA present a session at FACTS next month exploring post event engagement via a panel featuring several industry stakeholders and regional PCMA leaders.
“PCMA has an outstanding reputation for education, professional development and bringing together the global business events community, so we’re delighted to welcome them as a strategic partner of FACTS,” said FACTS cofounder Derek Sadubin.
“Our aim with the FACTS Business Events Summit is to bring genuinely useful ideas and perspectives to the people who plan, procure and deliver meetings and events.
“Having PCMA curate part of the program gives us access to another important global community of expertise and ensures the conversation at FACTS extends well beyond traditional corporate travel.
Sadubin also highlighted the importance of bringing the business events industry together with those in aviation and corporate travel at FACTS.
“Travel, meetings and events increasingly sit within the same ecosystem, but the industry can still operate in separate lanes. FACTS is deliberately creating a place where those communities come together, to learn from each other and meet the organisations shaping their future.
“PCMA is an excellent fit for that vision and we’re looking forward to building the relationship beyond this first collaboration.”
The panel at PCMA’s session at FACTS includes Saxton Speakers Bureau CEO, Anne Jamison, IBM APAC’s signature events leader for Asia Pacific, Brooke Byrne, head of creative technologies at Project Worldwide, James Bennett, and managing partner at the Misfits Media Company, Chloe Noel De Kerbrech, alongside PCMA’s APAC managing director, Florence Chua, and the association’s head of community for APAC, Kate Wood-Foye.
“We’re pleased to partner with FACTS and contribute to a program that brings the business events and corporate travel communities together in Sydney,” said Chua.
“Education and meaningful industry connection are central to PCMA, and this collaboration with FACTS gives us the opportunity to bring the perspectives and expertise of the global PCMA community to Sydney while creating further opportunities for business events professionals to learn, connect and exchange ideas.”
With FACTS taking place at ICC Sydney on November 25 and 26, the event is ramping up its partnership with the business events sector.
Prior to the announcement of the PCMA partnership, FACTS locked in a collaboration with the Society for Incentive Travel Excellence (SITE).
