The top five APAC meeting destinations, according to Cvent, remain unchanged, with Singapore coming in first, followed by Bangkok second, Sydney third, Tokyo fourth and Melbourne fifth.
There has been some shuffling, an exit and a new entrant in the second half of the top 10 however.
Kuala Lumpur and Bali have both moved up a spot compared to the 2024 list, taking sixth and seventh spots in 2025, while Seoul has moved from sixth to eighth, Shanghai has moved up one spot to be ranked ninth and Beijing has risen two spots to take 10th place.
Meanwhile Phuket has fallen from ninth to 16th place.
Brisbane and the Gold Coast both remain inside the top 20, although both cities have slipped down the list somewhat.
Cvent compiles its list based on data from its sourcing platforms, which fielded more than US$18 billion of RFPs and booked group business in 2024. Over the year, Cvent’s venue sourcing platform, the Cvent Supplier Network, saw an all-time high of US$16.5 billion worth of business booked through it.
The destination list is based on metrics including room nights booked through Cvent, the number of RFPs submitted and the total value of the RFPs as well as the value of business successfully booked.
Meanwhile, there have been changes on Cvent’s Top Meeting Hotels list for APAC for 2025.
Australia’s largest hotel, the 878-room Hyatt Regency Sydney, which also boasts over 4,000m2 of event space, has retained its position as Australia’s highest ranked property and improved its rank compared to 2024, moving up one spot to second.
Top of the 2025 hotel list is Bangkok Marriott Marquis Queen’s Park, jumping up from fifth place in 2024.
After the Hyatt Regency Sydney, Hilton Singapore Orchard came in third, followed by Fairmont Singapore, Hilton Tokyo Bay, voco Orchard Singapore, Shangri-La Singapore, The Westin Tokyo, Hilton Sydney with InterContinental Singapore at number 10.
Hilton Sydney and its 598 rooms and more than 4,000m2 of event space climbed five spots from last year to enter the top 10.
No other Australian hotels were in the top 10, with Sheraton Grand Sydney Hyde Park slipping out of the top 25 completely, after being ranked ninth in 2024.
Meanwhile, last year’s top property, the JW Marriott Hotel Singapore South Beach, was ranked 11th in 2025.
The hotels list was compiled from the business generated through the Cvent Supplier Network which lists over 340,000 hotels and event venues around the world. Data points used to determine the list included awarded room nights, total number of RFPs, conversion rate and response rate.
