The 1,250m2 Western Sydney Conference Centre (WSCC) opened alongside Penrith’s first five-star hotel, the Pullman Sydney Penrith, in 2023 within the Panthers precinct.
Across the precinct, there is 4,000m2 of event space in 11 venues, including a full production theatre which can do both fixed tiered seating for 900 and tiered banqueting for up to 400.
The precinct also offers 17 food and beverage options and experiences like aqua golf and iFly, an indoor skydiving experience, ideal for team building.
The conference centre team can now connect event organisers to all of these offerings, as well as the precinct’s most unique feature, the Panthers Academy, which is the training centre for both Australia’s current NRL premiers and the various youth programs which feed the senior team that has won the last four NRL Grand Finals.
A group tour of the Academy is possible as part of event experiences within the precinct, offering an up-close look at how the club runs.
The Pathers precinct sits just 21 minutes’ drive from the new Western Sydney International Airport (WSI), set to open in late 2026 and at the base of the World Heritage-listed Blue Mountains.
“As we prepare for the WSI opening and tackle the international market, it made perfect sense to refine our offering and align the WSCC and Panthers precinct as a one-stop destination for domestic and international MICE programs,” said Charles Young, general manager of both the conference centre and the 152-room Pullman hotel.
“By combining the WSCC’s state-of-the-art facilities with the precinct’s unique experiences, we’ve created a truly unforgettable destination.
“From exclusive access to sporting legends, fine cuisine and a location right at the foot of the Blue Mountains, there’s nowhere else in the world with access to this type of offering and there are truly endless possibilities at the conference organiser’s fingertips.”
