Parramatta Town Hall originally opened in 1883 and now, in the 21st century, adjoins PHIVE, Parramatta’s civic, cultural and community hub which also offers event space for hire.
“Growing up here I have watched the city transform before my eyes, but this building has been a constant,” said Pierre Esber, the City of Parramatta’s lord mayor, when the venue reopened last year.
‘I’m proud this much-loved gathering place of our community has now been restored to its former glory so it can long be a part of our future.”
The two hero event spaces for hire at the town hall are The Great Hall, which can seat 210 in banquet and cater for 275 for a cocktail function, and the Southern Terrace, a long space with floor to ceiling glass looking out onto Parramatta Square, catering for 100 cocktail-style or 60 for a banquet.
The Great Hall and the Southern Terrace can be hired together, for 375 standing attendees.
The town hall also offers several other smaller rooms, including a boardroom for 10 in the Inspector of Nuances Room. These spaces come alongside a commercial kitchen for which event organisers can nominate their own caterer.
Next door at PHIVE, there are more than 20 spaces for up to 200 attendees, for small events.
Both PHIVE and Parramatta Town Hall are booked through the City of Parramatta.
