Transformation complete at Amora Hotel Brisbane
The 296-room Amora Brisbane has undergone a $30 million refurbishment to emerge as a luxury property.

A former Novotel before it was bought by the Amora Group in 2020, the property is now at a luxury standard.

The hotel has 11 meetings and events spaces, totally 1148m2, which have also undergone significant refurbishment. Microhire has come onboard as the in-house AV partner.

The largest event space can accommodate up to 250 attendees, while events on the Pool Terrace can cater for 150 guests standing or 120 for seated meal.

The hotel is located just outside the very centre of the city and just under 2km from the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre.

“Amora Brisbane is a property we couldn’t be prouder of,” said Amora Group’s owner and director, Earp Siriphatrawan.

“We extend a special thank you to the many teams and people that brought this hotel to life. Creating unique and meaningful experiences is at the heart of what we do, and we are beyond excited to continue our commitment for a further expansion across Australia.”

Amora also owns and operates the 415-room Amora Jamison Sydney, in Sydney’s CBD, and the 111-room Amora Hotel Riverwalk Melbourne, in inner-city Richmond. The Melbourne property was Amora’s first in Australia, bought over 25 years ago.

With a further three properties in Thailand, Amora has significant growth plans in the medium term.

“As a company, we are looking to cement our footprint as a five-star hospitality group in Australia and Thailand, and we will achieve that by expanding in key cities in Asia Pacific and in developing Southeast Asian destinations,” said Siriphatrawan.

“Our goal is to have 12 hotels in the region within the next five years.”

The transformation of Amora Brisbane was officially unveiled in late February.
