With the main program beginning on Tuesday, the evening welcome event hosted buyers, media and exhibitors at the recently opened coastal cool Kirra Beach House.
This is Gold Coast 2024 brings together approximately 60 professional event planners and industry media to showcase the newest venues and services as well as destination favourites.
This year, the event includes a pre-exhibition famil and group dining experiences, site inspections, a trade exhibition where buyers and media will meet with the 46 exhibiting partners at the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre, a closing event showcase at Miami Marketta and more. There was also an optional famil on Monday.
Amongst the events business influenced by this year’s attendees, there’s approximately $30 million worth of business events up for grabs by the Gold Coast at the showcase.
Head of business events at Experience Gold Coast, Brooke Campbell, said the event offers an exciting opportunity for the destination to show off the continued investment in exciting and accessible infrastructure for business events.
Experience Gold Coast’s CEO, John Warn, welcomed the group last night saying, “We continue to invest in new products, new experiences and what I’m really excited about is that there are new, unique local experiences, Indigenous experiences … an evolving food scene – just a sample of the sort of great things that the Gold Coast is beginning to show to the world.”
This key annual event provides a platform for buyers to connect with new venues, services and suppliers as well as network with the destination’s established business events ecosystem. This is Gold Coast 2024 will wrap up on Thursday.
