First up is Visit Sunshine Coast’s Sunshine Soiree on August 15 at the Sunshine Coast Turf Club.
The race day themed long lunch affair is the flagship networking and showcase event for Visit Sunshine Coast and its local business events industry.
“The Sunshine Soiree is more than a beautiful event,” said Visit Sunshine Coast’s head of business events, Ali Thompson.
“It’s a powerful business tool that connects high-value buyers with our suppliers and operators.
“Business events deliver significant economic value to the Sunshine Coast. They drive visitation in off-peak periods, support local jobs and help future-proof our tourism economy.”

Then, in late August, the annual Brisbane Pop-Up event is back, this year at Sofitel Brisbane Central.
The August 26 event run by Brisbane Economic Development Agency (BEDA) will offer up an opportunity to talk business with 70 suppliers who service business events in Brisbane.
Exhibitors already signed up for 2025 range from hotels and venues to culinary wonders, AV providers and expo, event hire and transport companies.
“Brisbane Pop-Up gives event organisers a one-stop-shop to explore everything the city has to offer and to meet the people who can bring those experiences to life,” said Brisbane’s lord mayor, Adrian Schrinner.
“It’s also a powerful opportunity for our local suppliers to build new partnerships and showcase how Brisbane delivers bold, tailored and unforgettable events.
“This year alone, business events supported by BEDA are expected to deliver up to $125 million in economic impact for Brisbane and Pop-Up plays a role in keeping that momentum strong.”
