Raffles Sentosa Singapore raises the bar for creative business events

The March opening of Raffles Sentosa Singapore, the country’s first all-villa resort, gives meeting and incentive planners exciting options for events and activities.

Besides luxury accommodation, the sprawling 62-villa resort offers an elevated setting for corporate retreats, large-scale meetings, small conferences and incentive programs.

“Raffles Sentosa Singapore offers a different expression of the Raffles experience, defined by space, nature and a sense of quiet luxury,” said Cavaliere Giovanni Viterale, cluster general manager of Raffles Sentosa Singapore and Sofitel Singapore Sentosa Resort & Spa.

“From immersive wellness and sustainability-led experiences to seamless service by our Raffles Butlers, Event Concierge and culinary team, every detail is designed for exceptional, elegant events – delivering the timeless Raffles spirit in a lush, contemporary setting,” he enthused.

The column-free Raffles Ballroom takes up to 700 pax seated theatre-style or 400 for a banquet. With floor-to-ceiling glass windows, its customisable chandeliers can adapt to corporate themes, brand colours or event moods.

The ballroom can also be split into two smaller meeting rooms.

Meanwhile, the Garden Room, on the upper floor, seats 80 pax in classroom layout or 100 for banquets. It offers sweeping sea views and the terrace suits evening cocktails for 50 guests.

The 650sqm Royal Villa’s living and dining areas can be configured for product showcases or group discussions, while its three bedrooms may hold private meetings or viewings. Cocktail receptions can be hosted at the private pool area.

“A variety of exclusive events, including board meetings, executive lunches and luxury product launches have been hosted here,” revealed Viterale.

The villa was even transformed into a private showroom for a supercar, which was driven directly into the space for an intimate, by-invitation-only viewing.

“Beyond the spaces themselves, the resort curates a range of engaging, bespoke activities for corporate groups,” said Viterale.

Private villa dinners with curated menus and signature experiences can be tailored for groups of 10 to 20 pax, such as wellness experiences like sunrise yoga, guided nature walks or personalised spa rituals to support focus and rejuvenation.

At mixology workshops, participants learn how to make the resort’s signature Sentosa Sling, crafted with sustainable ingredients from its edible garden.

They may also create a signature scent with Maison 21G, culminating in a personalised bottle to take home.

Rolls Royce limousine tours, tailored to suit the number of participants, either take in Sentosa’s attractions such as Fort Siloso and the Sensoryscape or the city sights.

Viterale shared that the resort is attracting high-end meetings and incentive groups of up to 250 pax.

“It is proving especially popular for full-property buyouts for companies and planners seeking exclusivity, privacy and a truly immersive experience for their guests.

For larger-scale events, the adjacent Sofitel Singapore Sentosa Resort & Spa adds 215 guest rooms, suites and villas.

“This dual-property proposition is highly attractive to event organisers, catering to different audience segments and budget profiles, while still delivering a seamless luxury experience on Sentosa,” he said.
