Perth will host Routes Asia in March 2025.

The aviation route development gathering is expected to attract over 1,000 delegates from the aviation and tourism sectors, including airline and airport leaders.

The event was secured by Tourism Western Australia in conjunction with Business Events Perth and Business Events Australia. Perth Airport also contributed to the bid.

Western Australia’s win was announced at the CAPA World Aviation Summit 2023, which wraps up today in Abu Dhabi.

“Hosting Routes Asia 2025 is an amazing opportunity for WA as it allows us to build on our work to secure even more direct flight connections between Perth and nearby countries across Asia,” said Tourism WA’s managing director Carolyn Turnbull.

“I look forward to welcoming aviation travel and trade leaders to our state and vibrant capital city in a little over 18 months’ time.”

Business Events Perth’s CEO Gareth Martin agreed that hosting the event would benefit Perth’s air connections.

“Hosting Routes Asia marks a significant milestone for WA and actively opens doors to increased global connectivity, advancing aviation access, business travel and leisure tourism opportunities,” he said.

“The collective bid partnership between Tourism Western Australia, Perth Airport, Tourism Australia – Business Events Australia and Business Events Perth is testament to our collaborative approach in driving business event visitation as well as targeting future potential aviation capacity.”

The event will be held at Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre.
