Northern Escape Collection rebrands
The boutique high-end lodge business has a new name.

The Northern Escape Collection will now be known as Morris Escapes, bringing the brand closer to its parent company, Morris Group.

Properties in the Northern Escape Collection include Orpheus Island Lodge, Mt Mulligan Lodge, Beechmont Estate and the recently opened Pelorus Private Island. Mt Mulligan Lodge is part of the Luxury Lodges of Australia collective.

These properties are all open to corporate retreats and their boutique size makes them suitable for exclusive use. Their unique locations also position them within the corporate event market.

“This new identity means our luxury lodges are more closely aligned with the rest of Morris Group and strengthens the connection between Morris Escapes’ unique travel experiences and the rest of our tourism portfolio,” said Chris Morris, founder of Morris Group.

“Our exceptional Morris Escapes team will continue delivering the same outstanding service, and their unique brand of understated luxury that people have come to know and love.”

The Morris Group includes a variety of other options for the business events industry, such as another recent opening, the 132-room Ardo in Townsville, which debuted as the city’s first luxury hotel in December. Morris Group also owns the likes of Morris Nautical and Morris Aviation.

Morris Nautical operates three superyachts, two in Port Douglas and one in France, while Morris Aviation, operating under the brand names Nautilus Aviation and HeliFish, is the largest helicopter operator in Northern Australia.
