New luxury hotel for Adelaide

Adelaide is to get a new luxury hotel as part of a mixed-use development at the city’s eastern edge that has won state planning approval.

Arcadia Adelaide at 299 Pirie Street will rise adjacent to Rymill Park, an extensive green belt with the Torrens River running through it. The site is just under 2km from Adelaide Convention Centre.

Local developers, Auriga Investment Group, describe Arcadia on their website as a $350 million, 27-level project offering “unprecedented luxury with its French inspired interior design” throughout the 242-room hotel as well as within the 88 residential apartments.

The hotel will have a double-height ground floor reception and restaurant. Dedicated meeting rooms and another restaurant will occupy the mezzanine level, which also boasts a covered balcony that sits above the public footpath below.

Accommodation rooms begin from level five and include ultra-luxe suites on higher levels.

Meanwhile residents will live in their own side of the building occupying a mix of studio, two and three bedroom apartments and nine penthouses. They will share amenities with hotel guests.

Amenities include a spa, gym and outdoor pool on level five. The architect’s renders show a large lap pool stretching almost the width of the building

Auriga suggests the project will be completed by late 2027.
