Gold Coast to debut new videos to draw the international business events market
Experience Gold Coast has partnered with Business Events Australia to develop new assets to woo international organisers.

The first video presents an overview of the Gold Coast as a destination, from the perspective of an event organiser, highlighting the region’s golden beaches, subtropical rainforests, experiences like getting up close to wildlife, cruising out on the water or climbing structures high above it – specifically the SkyPoint Climb – and the connection to the traditional owners of the land on which the Gold Coast sits.

Another two videos are set to be released, with one to focus on association meetings and the other to focus on incentives.

The videos were created through Business Events Australia’s Advance Program, which supports marketing projects in Australian destinations designed to increase the number and value of international business events in Australia or increase international delegate numbers at Australian events.

“Although we know one in two business events held in Queensland meet on the Gold Coast, it’s a fiercely competitive market and we need to continue pushing the city and the growing range of venues, accommodations and experiences on offer for business events,” said Experience Gold Coast’s head of business events, Brooke Campbell.

“Whether you are looking for an intimate creative space to inspire and ignite ideas or want to deliver experiences that wow and excite your delegates, if it can be imagined, it can happen on the Gold Coast.

“Where else in the world can you indulge in breakfast overlooking the ocean and whale watch and then walk straight into your conference at a state-of-the-art venue? Only on the Gold Coast,” said Campbell.

The Gold Coast’s convention bureau team has secured 105 events worth an estimated $196 million to be delivered between now and 2030.

The most recent win the for the destination is the 28th IEEE International Conference on Intelligent Transportation Systems 2025 which is expected to draw 1,000 delegates and deliver $2.5 million in economic benefit to the Gold Coast.
