GainingEdge on the hunt for new CEO
The meetings industry consulting business is searching for its next leader with current CEO Jon Sivertson set to wrap up his time with the company at the end of the month.

“We are sorry to see Jon leave,” said Gary Grimmer, founder and current executive chairman of GainingEdge.

“He led us through the challenges presented by the COVID global pandemic and helped us make this last year the best-ever results in our 20-year history.

“We will miss Jon and wish him every success in his future endeavours.”

Sivertson has been in the role since 2019. GainingEdge senior partner Mike Williams is working as the acting CEO until a permanent replacement for Silvertson can be found.

“I’ve greatly enjoyed the work I’ve done at GainingEdge, and the great people we have that makes the company such a powerful force in our business,” said Sivertson.

“I’ll greatly miss GainingEdge, but I am also looking forward to the new challenges I have set for myself.”

GainingEdge has already begun an active search for its next CEO. Anyone interested in putting themselves forward for the role should contact GainingEdge partner Bruce Redor.

Partners and consultants for GainingEdge are located all around the world.

Grimmer started the consultancy after seven years heading up the Melbourne Convention and Visitor Bureau – now known as Melbourne Convention Bureau.
