FCM Meetings and Events promising cost savings with new reporting and analytics tool
Flight Centre Travel Group’s meetings and events division has released a new tool to help event clients increase operational efficiency, save money and get a leg up when negotiating with suppliers.

The new reporting and analytics offering follows insight from a recent survey which showed that current year budgets were still up in the air for almost 40 per cent of event planners.

“Big, small, or the unknown, one thing’s clear: when the budget’s blurry, planners need to get even sharper,” said FCM Meetings and Events’ global general manager, Simone Seiler. “This is where our new tool comes into play – giving customers a total oversight over budgets and spend.”

The new reporting and analytics tool offers a comprehensive dashboard with all meetings and events data available in one spot, to save planners time on collating data from different sources.

The tool also shows where savings opportunities were missed and provides data and proof points to help event clients obtain the best rates from suppliers. Trends and insights to inform purchasing strategies are also available through the tool.

“As global corporate environments continue to evolve rapidly, it’s important for organisations to adopt leading-edge solutions that boost seamless operations while generating substantial value,” said Seiler.

“Our innovative tool is designed to fulfil these needs by integrating all meetings and events data into a cohesive and advanced dashboard, thereby allowing clients to concentrate on their core business activities without the burden of manual reporting.

“In addition to the new Reporting & Analytics Tool, FCM M&E has integrated their offering into the FCM Platform by introducing venue sourcing and event requests. These complementary tools strengthen relationships through increased engagement and business volume.

“The core version of FCM Venue Finder and the new Meeting Request Form are accessible to new and existing customers, and the integration provides a centralised hub for venue selection, streamlined processes and improved collaboration – on top of the Reporting & Analytics Tool.”

The tool will be first released to clients in Australia, New Zealand and the USA, before becoming available in the UK, with other regions including continental Europe, Asia and Mexico to follow, and the end goal being global access.

“We aim to be long-term partners for our customers that not only aid in managing meetings but also optimise them through strategic insights and cutting-edge technology. The new tool serves as the foundation for a scalable MICE strategy, moving clients from visibility to value creation,” said Seiler.

“We believe this tool will redefine how businesses manage their MICE portfolios. Our customers will not only gain fresh insights, but they’ll be better positioned to leverage those insights for strategic growth.”
