Bay Precinct Strategy enhances attractiveness of Singapore’s Marina Bay
Marina Bay Sands (MBS) is leading efforts to transform business events into experiential occasions.

Its Bay Precinct Strategy, evolving since 2022, collectively offers more than 8,000 rooms from 11 hotel brands, restaurants with 19 Michelin stars collectively, and 10 top-class attractions.

This gives event organisers exciting experiences to either include in programs or offer participants as optional add-ons.

Besides MBS itself, participating hotels are Fullerton Hotel and Fullerton Bay Hotel, The Westin Singapore, Fairmont Singapore, Swissôtel The Stamford, PARKROYAL COLLECTION Marina Bay, Mandarin Oriental, Singapore, Pan Pacific Singapore, The Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore and JW Marriott Hotel Singapore South Beach.

Attractions include ArtScience Museum and SkyPark Observation Deck at MBS, Gardens by the Bay, Singapore Flyer, Esplanade Theatres on the Bay, Merlion Park, Victoria Theatre and Concert Hall, The Arts House, Asian Civilisations Museum and National Gallery Singapore.

The strategy played a crucial role in MBS clinching the Asian Patent Attorneys Association’s (APAA) 20th General Assembly and 74th and 75th Council Meetings from November 3 to 7, 2023, attended by more than 1,400 international delegates.

“Hotel and attraction partners across the Bay came together to offer delegates varied accommodation options and innovative spaces for networking and myriad experiences. The Bay Precinct Strategy made this possible, showing the diversity and richness of the Marina Bay hospitality ecosystem,” said Ong Wee Min, vice president of sales and MICE for MBS.

The Cultural Evening, for instance, was held at the Flower Dome at Gardens by the Bay, a short walk from MBS.

Seetho Huiling, from the APAA-Singapore group conference organising committee secretariat, said: “MBS offered a unique, collaborative ecosystem, allowing us to seamlessly integrate our event programming with Marina Bay’s diverse offerings such as nearby hotels and attractions, exemplifying the future of dynamic and impactful event hosting.”
