AV1 brings back 'pay what you like' initiative for January 2025
Production company AV1 is offering an incentive to host an event in the typically quiet month of January by giving clients the opportunity to choose what they pay for equipment hire.

Of the payments received for hire during January, AV1 will donate 20 per cent to Redfern Youth Connect, which supports young Indigenous people to develop positive relationships, alongside good mental health, wellbeing, self-development and cultural connections.

“Thanks to our customers who booked events with us in January 2024, we raised $10,340.13 for Redfern Youth Connect,” said AV1’s managing director, Nigel Mintern.

“This contribution has made the world of difference to RYC, whose services rely on community generosity to keep its doors open.

“We’ve upped our fundraising goal for 2025 and we’re putting this offer out to market earlier to allow event planners more time to look ahead to January events.

“If you have budget for a kick-off event for the year and want to support a great cause, why not start the year on a high, or simply gather your team in January.”

The offer is available for events being held in New South Wales, Victoria and Queensland, the states in which AV1 has offices and equipment. Organisers must book equipment by November 29, 2024 and normal labour and services rates will apply.

AV1 has been supporting the Aboriginal-led Redfern Youth Connect throughout 2023 and 2024, including donating AV equipment for its event space, running leadership workshops and creating video content to raise the organisation’s profile and boost its fundraising activities.
