Five hospitality venues set for Melbourne’s Hannah St. Hotel
TFE Hotels has partnered with the Mulberry Group on five food and beverage offerings at its forthcoming Hannah St. Hotel in Melbourne.

The 188-room hotel is set to open this summer about 10 minutes’ walk from Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre.

Mulberry Group already operates a variety of standalone hospitality offerings in Melbourne that have been well-received, including Molli, Lilac Wine and Higher Ground.

“From a young age, I’ve been obsessed with hotels – the excitement of checking in, exploring every corner and discovering the magic of each space,” said the Mulberry Group’s founder, Nathan Toleman.

“Some of my best memories are tied to hotels: Ett Hem in Stockholm, Chiltern Firehouse in London, and Chateau Marmont in LA.

“For me, a hotel represents an escape from the outside world – a place where every detail tells a story.

“With Hannah St, we wanted to capture that same sense of wonder and excitement, but with a Melbourne heartbeat.

“A place that feels alive, authentic and inclusive — not just for travellers, but for locals too.”

The F&B offering from the Mulberry Group at Hannah St. Hotel will include a lobby bar called Bar Hannah, a hole in the wall café called Hannah St Coffee, a rooftop offering called Terrace Lounge, which will double as an event space, a quieter drinking spot The Carriage Lounge, and an early morning to late evening restaurant, Coupette Corner Bistro & Bar, which will serve everything from breakfast to late suppers.

“Partnering with the Mulberry Group means the hotel’s F&B will be led by a deep understanding of the neighbourhood and what works at a boutique level,” said Tim Price from Time & Place, one of the stakeholders in the development collaboration that is responsible for Hannah St. Hotel and the wider mixed-use Queensbridge building of which the hotel is a part.

“We like the idea of celebrating our state in our menu choices, of being Melbourne in the way our bar works, or our little secret hideaway works.”

The Mulberry Group will also be responsible for the catering offering within the event spaces at Hannah St. Hotel.
