FCM Meetings & Events launches new framework for strategic meetings management

The new solution from Flight Centre’s meetings and events arm is designed to cover a perceived gap in the market to assist less mature event programs.

The new Strategic Meetings Management solution is driven by the FCM Meetings and Events (FCM M&E) team and underpinned by its technology platform.

The framework solution allows FCM M&E clients to gradually scale up the complexity and depth of their meetings strategy and delivery, rather than beginning with the objective of executing a complex plan better suited to those who have a more highly developed meetings strategy.

“Our solution stands out in the marketplace due to its ability to offer agile, structured meetings management capabilities that challenge legacy models,” said FCM M&E’s global general manager, Simone Seiler.

“By filling the industry gap with its clearly defined strategy and agile structure, we’re best placed to seize significant multi-market opportunities, demonstrating ourselves as the preferred choice for businesses seeking a real, alternative edge in meetings management.”

The framework is broken down into three stages – meetings essentials, meetings enablement and meetings intelligence.

The first meetings essentials phase lays the foundations for strategic meetings, covering compliance, visibility, centralisation of event activities, venue finding, onboarding and standardised reporting.

In the meetings enablement stage, cost effective, consistent, aligned and coordinated event delivery includes formalised strategies for suppliers, centralised operations and augmented stakeholder engagement.

The third and final phase, meetings intelligence, sees meetings become “strategic assets” for businesses, to help them make the best possible decisions by utilising data from their events.

“Our new offering is unparalleled in its scalability and structure. The framework is based on the principles of clarity, consistency, differentiation, focus and scalability,” said Seiler.

“Equipped with the essentials needed for effective meetings management, the solution has visibility, compliance, operational grip, cost control, stakeholder engagement and strategic insights.”
