The Radisson on Flagstaff Gardens Melbourne will become Rydges Flagstaff Gardens in 2026.

EVT has won the management agreement for the property, starting January 2026, and will undertake a full refurbishment of the hotel before it moves to the Rydges brand.

Rydges Flagstaff Gardens has 184 rooms and four event spaces, with the largest meeting room able to host 110 in theatre. The hotel also has a restaurant onsite.

“We are proud to have been chosen to take on the management of the Flagstaff Gardens property,” said EVT’s director of development, Peter Hill.

“At EVT we pride ourselves on being well credentialled, passionate hotel owners and operators, and look forward to adding value to this Goldquest property under the Rydges brand.

“The addition of this second quality upscale hotel completes EVT’s brand spread across the north-west CBD precinct.”

Overlooking Flagstaff Gardens and located next door to Queen Victoria Market, the hotel first opened in 1999 following its conversion from a police station.

EVT says the renovation of the property will match the standard of the recent Rydges Melbourne refurbishment.

Separate to this rebrand, this week EVT also announced it will begin offering third-party hotel management services through a new arm of the business. EVT Connect Hospitality will offer hotel management to hotel owners whose properties have no affiliation with EVT brands like Rydges and QT.
