RACV Inverloch Resort to target business events amid accommodation expansion
The 91-key RACV Inverloch Resort in regional Victoria is set to expand its accommodation offering substantially.

The coastal resort in Gippsland will begin building 36 ocean view rooms this month after a state government grant of at least $1 million through the Regional Tourism Investment Fund.

The expansion is expected to be complete by late 2026.

“This is an investment into Inverloch and Gippsland tourism that RACV is tremendously proud to be a part of,” said RACV executive general manager of leisure, Craig Peachey.

“With regional tourism booming post-pandemic, these new premium rooms will help address a significant market gap while elevating Inverloch’s status as a premium destination.

“We’re pleased that the Victorian Government shares our vision for the project, and we’re appreciative of their assistance in making this expansion possible.”

The existing mix of accommodation at the resort comprises resort rooms, two and three-bedroom villas and two-bedroom cabins. The expansion will more than double the inventory of rooms with ocean views.

RACV says it will target more conference and event business once the new rooms are operational.

The resort has several event spaces, the largest of which can seat 200 in banquet and has floor-to-ceiling views out over the Bass Strait. This space can also be split in two. Other smaller spaces can accommodate 10 to 30 delegates.

The 4.5 star resort is located 90 minutes’ drive from Melbourne and operates at near capacity during peak periods, welcoming 55,000 guests each year. The new rooms will provide capacity for another 20,000 visitors annually.
