The 4.6-hectare property sits within the popular Mandai Wildlife Reserve.
The 338-room resort is Singapore’s first Green Mark Super Low Energy-certified resort, given its biophilic design and conscious sustainability measures.
This strategy of preserving the essence of its location and providing unique features and experiences is attracting a mix of leisure and business customers, including small meeting and incentive groups.
“Mandai Rainforest Resort by Banyan Tree reframes the future of corporate gatherings,” said its general manager, Glen Cook.
“Through curated wildlife encounters, sensory experiences in food and wellness and a conscious stay shaped by biophilic design and sustainability, we align businesses with purpose, making nature a true partner in any MICE initiatives.”
Hour-long experiences can be easily included in meeting and incentive programs.
Small groups of up to eight pax can enjoy a DIY body balm and lip balm workshop using natural ingredients and aqua aerobics with guided exercises.
Wellness workshops for 10 pax include transforming used coffee grounds into skincare products, creating a body scrub using natural ingredients, ‘connecting’ with the earth and sound baths.
Up to a dozen participants can savour Singapore’s coffee blends, while a 15-pax group may prefer a guided nature walk.
Corporate retreats can be customised with advance booking for a minimum guaranteed number of participants.
Two small meeting rooms each hold between 16 and 32 pax in boardroom or cluster seating, or up to 40 pax when combined.
Meranti Ballroom holds bigger events – 320 pax seated theatre-style or 300 in banquet layout. The ballroom divides into two for smaller gatherings.
Accommodation options range from standard rooms and suites with different views to 24 treehouse units with private patios. Partial buyout of the East Wing is possible, subject to seasonal demand and other considerations.
“Guests can immerse themselves in the wonders of biodiversity, a catalyst for connection and renewal,” said Cook.
Beyond the resort, the new Rainforest Wild Asia offers programs centred around unique outdoor and wildlife experiences that enhance team building.
Planners may choose a full-day adventure with guided options or buy out smaller, signature activities such as the Wild Apex Adventure and Wild Cavern Adventure. The 150-seat Cavern Restaurant operated by TungLok Group is Singapore’s first and only restaurant in a cave setting.
