Adina Town Hall reopens in Sydney

TFE Hotels has reopened its central Sydney property after a major refurbishment.

The apartment hotel was closed down in April 2024 for major works, with the new-look rooms designed by Bates Smart, who have also worked on the likes of Little National Sydney, Ace Hotel and Hyatt Regency in Sydney, alongside Hilton Little Queen St in Melbourne.

“We wanted the rooms at Adina Town Hall to feel like a home away from home,” says Bates Smart’s interior design director, Brenton Smith.

“In the layouts, we opted for simple solutions that are attractive, like removing walls and joinery and adding portals to create height and visual focal points.”

“Less is definitely more with these designs.

“And the result is a space that exudes elegance and makes guests feel at home.”

The 144-key property, made up of studio rooms and one, two and three-bedroom apartments is just eight minutes’ walk from Sydney’s convention centre in Darling Harbour and within easy reach of many other event venues in the Sydney city centre.

“Bates Smart has designed spaces where guests can entertain, relax and feel at ease, whether in their apartment or in the hotel’s lobby lounge,” said TFE Hotels’ regional general manager, Emma Soutter.

“It’s an approach that is really resonating with our guests.”
