The association signed two Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) to lock in the conference destination and venue until 2027.

The agreements between the Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA) and Singapore Exhibition and Convention Bureau (SECB) – part of Singapore Tourism Board – and Marina Bay Sands will see the integrated resort hold PCMA’s flagship regional meeting, The Business of Events, in 2025, 2026 and 2027.

The PCMA event from April 13-15 will lead into The Meetings Show Asia Pacific, back for its second year in 2025, also supported by Singapore Tourism Board. Both events are being held at Marina Bay Sands.

“We are proud to partner with PCMA to anchor and grow their Asia Pacific conference – The Business of Events – in Singapore,” said SECB’s executive director of conventions, meetings and incentive travel, Dr. Edward Koh.

“This underscores our commitment to fostering global collaboration and advancing the business events industry.

“PCMA’s trust in Singapore reinforces our city’s position as a Global-Asia node for business, where innovation, sustainability and networks converge.”

The MoUs were signed at PCMA’s flagship global event Convening Leaders, which took place earlier this month in Houston, Texas.

“PCMA remains focused and committed to the advancement of the global business events industry, and the professional development of the APAC community,” said PCMA president and CEO, Sherrif Karamat.

“Singapore, as a country, is well positioned in the region and globally with a strong focus on innovation and leading practices – elevating the business events industry and upskilling the global workforce in the business events space.”

The Asia Pacific Incentives and Meetings Event (AIME) has a similar plan for 2025, with the regional conference for UFI, The Global Association of the Exhibition Industry, co-locating with the trade show in Melbourne next month.
