PARKROYAL Parramatta undergoing refurbishment

The 286-key hotel in Parramatta has commenced a significant refurbishment.

More than two thirds of its rooms will benefit from a refresh, with design elements taking inspiration from nature – think squiggly gum carpets, native flora motifs on the walls and white marble reflecting the Sydney basin.

The hotel’s 14 event spaces are also getting a makeover.

“We’re thrilled to bring a new chapter to PARKROYAL Parramatta, which has proudly served Western Sydney for years,” said PARKROYAL Parramatta’s hotel manager, Hans Joachim.

“This refurbishment really showcases our commitment to delivering a modern, elevated experience that not only meets the standards of today’s traveller but also celebrates Parramatta’s dynamic and rapidly changing landscape.”

The refurbishment is set to be complete by April 2025, with the hotel remaining open.

“As Parramatta continues to grow as a destination, we look forward to welcoming guests into a space that is both a tribute to the area’s rich heritage and a symbol of its exciting future,” said Pan Pacific Hotels Group cluster general manager, Jeroen Meijer.

“With this refurbishment comes a desire to stay ahead in a competitive market as the area continues to evolve into a major hub.”

This is the latest property from Pan Pacific Hotels Group to undergo refurbishment locally.

PARKROYAL Melbourne Airport completed upgrades earlier this year and Pan Pacific Perth, which has the largest hotel event space in Perth’s CBD, is in the midst of a significant refurbishment.
