Since coming into being in late 2023, Trilogy Hotel has amassed 10 hotel management contracts – primarily in Sydney and New South Wales.
The three Darwin properties bring the company’s hotels under management to 13.
Trilogy Hotels will manage Novotel Darwin CBD, Frontier Hotel Darwin and Smith Hotel Darwin. All three hotels are owned by the family-run DCOH Group, with whom Trilogy has signed a partnership.
The three Darwin properties have a combined inventory of 417 rooms.
The management deal comes at a time when Darwin is expected to see stronger visitation, with the city set to have direct flights from Singapore from next March.
“The Northern Territory holds a special place in our hearts as a key market in Australia driven by its own unique demand trends, indigenous culture and world-class attractions,” said Trilogy Hotels CEO, Scott Boyes.
“We plan to showcase the best of Darwin’s food and beverage scene, champion local produce and people, specifically our hotel teams.”
From a business events perspective, the 140-room Novotel property is most suitable and features two meeting rooms. The hotel is also 1.5km from the convention centre. It will remain under the Accor brand under Trilogy’s management.
“We’re passionate about hotels as much as we are about our local community in Darwin,” said DCOH managing director, Shane Dignan.
“As proud hotel owners, we’re eager to harness Trilogy’s expertise to unlock the full potential of our key CBD assets while highlighting what makes Darwin a top destination.
“We’re keen to partner with Trilogy to achieve this,” said Dignan.
Trilogy Hotels have a couple of major business events properties under management including the Fairmont Resort Blue Mountains and the Pullman Sydney Penrith along with the associated Western Sydney Conference Centre.
