With ABEA’s previous membership manager, Maeve Thomas, departing in July, Hayley Beveridge has joined the association in her place, starting this month. With more than 15 years of experience in business events, Beveridge moves over from the business events team at Experience Gold Coast.
“Hayley takes on a critical role in our team, focused on bringing new members into the ABEA community, providing support through member services and driving value for members nationally,” said ABEA CEO Melissa Brown.
Meanwhile, Adelaide Convention Centre general manager Sarah Goldfinch has taken over as chair of the venues pillar for ABEA, while Alfred Merse, conference sales manager at Federal Group, has taken over the helm of the Tasmanian chapter committee and Jessie Rayson, general manager of Fusion Exhibitions, has taken over the same position in the Northern Territory.
“We recognise the exceptional leadership of our outgoing council chairs, Marnie Craig (Tasmania), Peter Savoff (Northern Territory) and Nigel Keen (venues),” said Brown.
“Their dedication was instrumental in establishing the councils and driving momentum in ABEA’s first year of operation.
“We have a full suite of leaders representing our community in every sector and region.
“Their combined experience and knowledge are hugely valuable and will help us drive the business events agenda across all sectors, states and territories in Australia.”
