The high-ceiling venue has floor-to-sloped ceiling glass doors letting in natural light down one side while also allowing a glimpse into the brewery on the same site.
The newly-built open plan space has capacity for up to 170 seated or 240 standing and can be used for corporate events, concerts, gala dinners and cocktail functions.
The venue comes from the Cargo Collective, which was founded by Malcolm Blakey, an event manager who fell in love with beer brewing.
Venue hire can be paired with brewery tastings and tours as well as beverages with bespoke labels for corporates.
The Brew Hall is located in Arthurs Point, just outside Queenstown’s centre.
Another venue new to the business events market in Queenstown is the Waikākā Church, a 110-year-old church, also 15 minutes from the centre of Queenstown, that has recently been repurposed to be an events space.
The former church is best for smaller groups for lunches, dinners or other intimate events. It is located at the base of Coronet Peak.
This year during Queenstown’s off-peak months of April and May, the destination welcomed some sizeable international conference and incentive groups.
According to the Queenstown Convention Bureau’s forward outlook on accommodation, occupancy is trending up through winter with lower occupancies – in the 40s – in September, heralding a good time for business events groups to visit, with favourable conditions for these kinds of movements.
