Hyatt names new regional leader
Hyatt Hotels has appointed Mina Li as the regional vice president and country manager for Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands.
Originally from Hong Kong, Li has been based in Australia for nearly a decade and has held hotel roles with Colliers and Pro-invest Group, in addition to running her own hotel and asset management advisory business.
Li will lead growth and brand expansion for Hyatt in the region, as well as fortifying existing and prospective relationships with hotel owners.
“I’m honoured to take on this role at a time of continued opportunity across Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands,” she said.
“Hyatt has a strong foundation in the region and I look forward to working closely with our owners to support their long-term success, unlock growth opportunities and ensure each asset benefits from Hyatt’s global scale, brands and operational expertise.”

Accor appoints operations VP for New Zealand and Fiji
Accor has found its new vice president of operations for New Zealand and Fiji from within its expansive ranks.
Rob McIntyre will return to New Zealand to take up the role, from his current post as general manager of Pullman Singapore Orchard.
McIntyre has been with Accor for more than two decades and has already held area and regional GM roles for the hotel group in New Zealand.
His new role will see him interface with Accor’s 49 properties in New Zealand and four in Fiji.
“Rob’s appointment reflects our long-term confidence in New Zealand and Fiji, and our commitment to strong, on-the-ground leadership in New Zealand to support continued growth, performance and owner partnerships across the region,” said Accor’s COO for the Pacific, Adrian Williams.
“His deep operational knowledge, understanding of Accor’s brands and culture, and strong relationships with owners and teams make him ideally placed to lead the next phase of Accor’s journey in New Zealand and Fiji.”
McIntyre said he was “thrilled to be returning home to New Zealand”.
“New Zealand and Fiji are markets I know and love, and I’m looking forward to working closely with our teams and owners to build on the strong momentum, deliver exceptional guest experiences and continue growing our diverse portfolio across the region.”
McIntyre will assume his new role on April 13.
Trilogy Hotels takes on new director of finance and development
Paul Pratt is the new director of finance and development for young independent hotel management company, Trilogy Hotels.
Pratt spent more than a decade with Accor in various finance and operations roles and five and a half years with TFE Hotels in similar positions before that.
He will lead performance for Trilogy’s growing hotel portfolio and his expertise will help identify new opportunities for the company.
