PARKROYAL Melbourne Airport flags near-complete refurbishment
The Melbourne Airport hotel will debut a multi-million-dollar new look throughout its offering in December.

Part of Pan Pacific Hotels Group, PARKROYAL Melbourne Airport is the only accommodation at the airport directly connected to both the international and domestic terminals and has extensive meeting space.

All 276 accommodation rooms are being renewed in a muted Australia inspired palette and event spaces are also having a refreshed a muted colour palette including furniture and fabrics.

The hotel offers 14 event spaces, including a ballroom which can seat 300 in theatre or 250 in banquet.

“This refurbishment will elevate the experience for guests staying at the hotel, as well as those attending our myriad business events,” said the hotel’s general manager, Cameron Mead.

“We are excited to welcome guests to discover our contemporary new interior design aesthetic which has been influenced by Melbourne’s unique personality and inspired by diverse Victorian aerial landscapes, from the city’s grid-style urban planning to the organic form of the Yarra River.”

Pan Pacific Hotels Group has also recently announced it will be supporting and exhibiting at major business events trade show, the Asia Pacific Incentives and Meetings Event (AIME) again in 2024. In the past the group has hosted buyers and media at its Pan Pacific property located right next-door to AIME’s main venue, Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre.

The refurbishment of PARKROYAL Melbourne Airport, which also includes the lobby and onsite restaurant and bar Airo is expected to be complete by late December 2023.

The hotel has remained open since the refurbishment began in May.
