MyTripleE program to attract regional and international business events to Malaysia
MyTripleE – Excel, Elevate, Enliven – was launched on August 22 during Malaysia Business Events Week 2023 to provide financial and non-financial support to attract regional and international business events to Malaysia, as well as boost the domestic market under the Meet in Malaysia campaign of Malaysia Convention & Exhibition Bureau (MyCEB).

“MyTripleE covers international market development as part of our ongoing portfolio and further encourages the expansion of local events and meetings to foster the spirit of unity and harmony among Malaysians,” said Datuk Hajah Saraya Arbi, interim chairman of MyCEB.

The Excel initiative aims to attract regional/international business events and audiences. Elevate encourages organisations to hold local events and meetings, thereby fostering unity and harmony among Malaysians, while Enliven enhances government business events.

MyTripleE applies to all economic sectors and target markets. In developing a competitive and appealing support program, MyCEB hopes to persuade regional and international associations to organise their business events in Malaysia. The scale will be increased through event marketing and promotion, speaker management and hospitality services.

As of August, MyCEB has secured 149 business events taking place throughout the year, drawing almost half a million delegates and contributing an estimated MYR2.4 billion (AUD806 million) to the economy.

MyCEB revealed that six international conventions scheduled between this June and November 2024 have significant Australasian organisation and participation. The conferences, some with accompanying exhibitions, are mainly in medical, aviation and management fields and will be held in Kuala Lumpur, Shah Alam, Penang and Sarawak.

In addition, there are two incentive groups from Australia and New Zealand – a real estate agency and a home builder respectively, each with about 100 participants.
